SPS names 2023-24 Site Teachers of the Year

Teachers of the Year 2023-24

(SPS) -- Sapulpa Public Schools announced its site Teachers of the Year for the 2023-24 school year at a series of special ceremonies over the last two weeks.

The educators will be honored on Friday, February 9, at the Chieftain Center, during Teacher Appreciation Night. The district will recognize each outstanding teacher between the girls’ and boys’ varsity basketball games against Edison, at approximately 7:25 p.m.

Four Support Employee of the Year finalists were also announced in February. The Sapulpa District Teacher of the Year and Support Employee of the Year will be chosen in the spring and honored at an annual banquet.

 

Sapulpa Public Schools congratulates these innovative, dedicated educators who are chosen by their peers for bringing out the very best in their students.


Site Teachers of the Year:

·  Freedom Elementary – Jennifer Garner, Librarian

·  Holmes Park Elementary – Dax Demers, 3rd Grade

·  Jefferson Heights Elementary – Meredith Espinoza, Special Education

·  Liberty Elementary STEM Academy – Crissa Gantz, 4th Grade

·  Bartlett Academy – Alisha Kirk, English and Art

·  Sapulpa Middle School – Alex West, 6th Grade English

·  Sapulpa Junior High – Alison Hendrickson, Math

·  Sapulpa High School – Jennifer Hudgins, English
