Distance Learning vs Virtual Learning

Distance Learning is temporary. It refers to the instruction that is taught remotely by your student's school teacher(s). Distance Learning will be determined by your student's principal and does not have a predetermined timetable. This instruction will be taught by your student's classroom teacher(s) through various means including Google Meets, videos, assignments in [email protected] (3rd - 12th grades), assignments in Seesaw (PK - 2nd grades). A student could receive Distance Learning if he/she has to quarantine while the rest of the class/school is in the classroom. When not in Distance Learning, your student will receive instruction in-person in the classroom at school.

Virtual Learning refers to enrollment in Sapulpa Virtual Academy. For PreK through 12th grade students, it is at least a one-semester commitment. At all levels, students work independently at their own pace via the online curriculum and have access to Sapulpa Public Schools teachers and our Virtual Labs.
