Route 66 Christmas Chute opens Nov. 16

(SPS) -- Sapulpa's Route 66 Christmas Chute, which became world-renowned in its inaugural 2022 season, opens on November 16 with Lights On! Sapulpa.
Sapulpa elementary choirs and Sapulpa High School's SYNCOPATION Jazz Choir will lead the festivities at Lights On! beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 16, at the Courthouse plaza gazebo in downtown Sapulpa.
Lights will be flipped at 6:15 p.m., opening the Route 66 Christmas Chute along Dewey. Sapulpa High School will glow with "Chieftain Blue" energy-efficient LED lights throughout the holiday season.
A number of SPS organizations and student groups will hold fundraisers and activities at the Christmas Chute in November and December. Click here for a complete calendar of Route 66 Christmas Chute events.
The Sapulpa Parade of Lights is scheduled for December 16 at 6:00 p.m., featuring the Sapulpa High School Marching Band, Sapulpa High School Ping Ping Dance Team, and other school groups. The Route 66 Christmas Chute is open until December 31.
