Two student-athletes earn Core Value Awards

(SPS) -- Two seniors were awarded the first Core Value Awards of the 2023-24 school year. District Athletic Director Michael Rose presented senior football player Kylen Edwards and senior volleyball player Jailey Battles with their awards last week. Edwards was honored for Humility and Battles received the award for Mental Toughness.
The award is given monthly to the student-athlete who best exemplifies the values of Sapulpa Chieftains Athletics - character, humility, commitment, integrity, self-control, mental toughness, team, responsibility, honor, and service.
The winner is selected after nominations are submitted by the coaches and reviewed by the athletics department. In this case, winners.
The Core Value Award is sponsored by Tier One Lawn, which gives each Core Value Award winner a QuikTrip gift card.
