(SPS) -- Hats off to the Big Blue Band, which wrapped up its marching competition season on a high note.
The Sapulpa High School Band placed 2nd at the OBA (Oklahoma Bandmasters Association) State Marching Contest on October 22, completing two outstanding performances of their arrangement "The Road West."
The band received a score of 87.4 and also received a caption award for High Visual. Their previous high score, earned in 2021, was 75 and 6th place.
Congratulations to our talented band and color guard students and dedicated band directors! You can see the Sapulpa High School Band Marching Showcase at Collins Stadium on Tuesday, October 25, at 7:00 p.m. The event is free of charge.
