What you need to know about the first home game
Posted on 09/16/2019
Football practice(SPS) - After two games - and two wins - on the road, your Sapulpa Chieftains return to Collins Stadium on Friday night for the home opener of the 2019 season.

The Chieftains come into week three with wins over Edison and Claremore and Big Blue looks to start 3-0 for the second straight season with a win against East Central.

It’s a BLACKOUT night, so make sure you wear your black Fear the Spear shirt. If you don’t have one, you’ll be able to purchase one at the game.

“I need the whole stands blacked out,” said senior quarterback Eli Williams. “I know the fans will come through, it’s gonna be good vibes out there.”

Because it’s been nearly a year since the Chieftains have hosted a game, here are some gameday facts to refresh your memory and to alert you to a few changes.
  • Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
  • Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
  • Ticket prices are $7 for adults, $5 for students and senior citizens.
  • Those with a Blue Card, Sapulpa Public Schools employee ID, Season Pass, or an All-Sports Pass will enter through the Pass Gate between the box office and the Bailey Building.
  • No outside food or drink is allowed.
  • Credit cards are accepted at the concession stands.
  • Student drop-off will enter off of Dewey.

Chieftain Alley is back and will be positioned in front of the Chieftain Center. Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. The road in front of the Chieftain Center between the Band Hall and the entrance to Reserved Parking will be blocked off for food, games, vendors, and more. Any food or drink purchased at Chieftain Alley will need to be consumed before entering the stadium.

Reserved Parking is still in the lot outside the box office, but getting to it will be different this year. To access Reserved Parking you will enter the lot from Watchorn and drive toward Chieftain Alley. Be alert for patrons walking through the parking lot. You will turn right immediately after the Bailey Building.

Free parking is in the same locations as last season.
