(SPS) - Calling all students participating in a competitive activity this year.

The student drug test day is scheduled for Aug. 29 between 2 and 5 p.m. at Chieftain Center.

Any 8th through 12th-grade student participating in a competitive activity - Athletics, Ag, ROTC, Choir, Band, Robotics, etc. - must be tested in order to compete. Team managers and trainers must be tested as well. If a student took the drug test in May, he/she does not need to test again.

The cost of the test is $15. Cash and check are acceptable forms of payment.

Beginning Aug. 22, students can go to the main Nurse's Office to pay for their test in advance. Those who pre-pay will be given a wristband and will be directed to a separate line to speed up the process on testing day. Students can get their wristbands before and after school and during lunch.

Wristbands for drug test day

Copies of the Student Drug Testing Consent Form will be available on the testing day.

Students will not be dismissed during 7th hour and no transportation will be provided to or from the Chieftain Center for the testing.

This is the final drug test of the semester.
