Sapulpa Public School Found

The Sapulpa Public School Foundation, Inc. was established in April 1990. It is a broad-based, non-profit, community organization whose purpose is to secure and distribute contributions from individuals, corporations, and foundations for the benefit of the students in the Sapulpa Public Schools.

Oklahoma is on the leading edge in the establishment of educational foundations, and Sapulpa is proud to be a part of this movement.

Excellence in Education

The Sapulpa Public School Foundation, Inc. is an independently operated, non-profit organization, established to assist the schools in improving the quality of education in the district. The Foundation is a charitable organization and meets the IRS regulations 501 c (3) pertaining to charities. Consequently, this separate, non-profit, educational foundation enables donors to receive maximum tax benefits for their gifts. It provides the means for you to invest in today’s youth, tomorrow’s leaders, and the future of our community. By contributing to the Foundation, you will be a part of the organization committed to achieving excellence in our schools.

Academic Projects

The Teacher Classroom Grant Program provides teachers with the funds for the development and implementation of innovative teaching projects. Teachers submit ideas for the projects to the Allocation Committee who prioritizes grants based on imaginative projects to inspire students, generate enthusiasm, and promote academic excellence. The Teacher Classroom Grant Program is funded by the Annual Sapulpa Public Schools Golf Tournament. To date, the Foundation has awarded more than $500,000 in grants to teaching projects.

The Sapulpa Community Scholarship Fund was established in 2006 by an anonymous donation to set up the academic endowment. Three $5,000 scholarships are awarded each year in May. To date, the Foundation has awarded a total of $220,000 to deserving graduating seniors. The Scholarships are funded by the interest earned from the endowment. The fundraiser for the endowment is a letter-writing campaign in the fall concluding on Dec. 31 each year.

Your Investment

The Foundation provides a way to recognize outstanding teamwork; individual contributions of certified, classified, or volunteer personnel in the schools; legislators who seek to influence educational funding and resources at the state or national level; community members who support education; and educators and of parents who champion educational causes.

Your money will go into an endowment fund. The interest earned from this investment will be used exclusively on educational programs. Innovative programs and projects will be encouraged.

The Foundation is supported by a broad spectrum of the community: alumni, parents, businesses, senior citizens, industry, corporations, and supporters of education. You can be a member of a coalition of those who share a commitment to educational excellence.
