Kids?  Ages? Evie Baldwin, she will be 3 in February.

Pets? 2 Scottish Terriers- Willie and Finn, 6 chickens, and 1 guinea pig.

How do you spend a typical weekend? Taking care of Evie, cleaning up her messes, laundry, cooking, more cleaning up Evie’s messes, playing video games, going out to the library, sleep, eat food, eat more junk food, taking puppies for walks, playing my bass clarinet/piano, Netflix.

Why did you become a teacher? I strive to strike a passion for science in students. I want every kid to have a fond memory of science when they leave my classroom.

What lesson/unit do you like teaching the most? I could geek out over some atoms. I love learning about all the elements. Balancing chemical equations are SO MUCH FUN!

What was your worst subject when you were in school?  My worst grade ever was in AP Trigonometry in high school. I got an 88%.

What did you want to be when you were a kid? I wanted to be a veterinarian. My first job was at a vet clinic. One day, the vet had me hold a dog down so that she could change its bandages. Well, I saw lots of blood and passed out in the operating room. Had to rethink my goals there...

What were you like in middle school? I was like what I am now: a super nerdy dork. The only thing different is that I wear contacts now...sometimes.

What’s a funny story from your days in middle school? My whole middle school life was an embarrassment. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
